port aventura - dudeski style

10:20 am. friday.
i wake to a phone call, after a night of celebration that the tour has ended. it's adrian, the team manager.
"hey! our train leaves at 10:45. you must leave NOW!"
me, "uuuughhhhh, whaaaaaa??? i thought it was 12:45?!?"
adri, "i checked the wrong day last night."
so i jump up, brush my teef, and spray my face with sunblock.
i run. i run, and i never run.
i get to the station, about two miles from my house, covered in sweat. i see adri.
"our train is at the stop. tell the others to get there now!"

here's madars, nearly still asleep. he said the morning hit so suddenlt that there was no way that a hangover could hit him.
bruno, who seemed like he'd never seen a theme park in his life.
me, adri, and bruno on the wet-ass water ride.
then we opted for a 115 meter free fall ride. bruno, on the other hand, is deathly afraid of heights and wanted to die/cry/shart himself.
115 meters... 38.3 stories tall.
here's madars and bruno, next to the two most brave/stupid people i've ever seen. it must have been 32 degrees outside, with helluv humidity, and these freaks must have been just about dead in those suits.

life is so precious. this fellow was getting ready for his twins to pop out any day now...
here's the photo just as the pin drops you from the 115 meter freefall. gotta admit, i'm not too afraid of heights, but this thing had me shaking like no other.
bruno's face in this pic, on the left, is worth about a zillion euros.

went to randy's room, in the 22nd story of the w hotel. quite a view, birdman! quite a view.
and here's bruno, as we try to warm him up for the free fall. he tried to escape twice, after being locked in, but we wouldn't allow it.
