pretty much, if you've ever seen, "home alone", that's about what i'm dealing with right about now.
except there are no burglars after me and my stuff.
i'm actually about 96% sure of it. five bucks down the tubes!

macaully culken, i feel your pain.

what do you call a paki man who's done everything, and seen all there is to see?

in other news...

iiiiiiin other news, simo has gotten the cover of issue #3 of soma magazine, and landed a spot on the crailtap site. kudos, mate!
in other, more unfortunate news, but still hilarious as well...he's stuck in barcelona.
he was supposed to leave here on sunday morning, which he did, and he made it all the way to the gate of departure. there, he found that he was to wait three additional hours, as the flight was delayed.
so he borrows the phone of a very generous lady, so he could phone his gal and tell her he'd be late.
the lady asks for her phone back, and he gives it to her, and turns and mutters to himself, "effing perfect." or something of that nature.
moments later, someone comes up to him from the airline, asking to see his ticket.
you see...the lady who lent her phone was the pilot of the flight. and she thought he had said, under his breath, "eff you."
so they tore up his ticket, and told him that he would no longer be flying with KLM airlines any longer, and his luggage would be awaiting him downstairs. his ticket was non-transferable, and he's stuck, shafted, in barcelona's rainy season.

being as it's holiday season, he couldn't get a new ticket until thursday night, and that's only if the landing strips on his way are clear for landing. sounds like most of them these days are iced out, and unable to be used.

but at least he got a cover shot. that's gotta amount to something, huh?

little spain

ahhhhhh!!! update overload!
me, anna, adam and teresa went to some "little spain" place, where they bring parts of the different cultures of different parts of spain into one little city inside barca.
here, they all walk up stairs. crazy!
some nice shapes inside the museum.
room with a view.
room with a girl!
adam looking very masculine in front of very girlie flowers.
if you walk on the grass, they will turn you to stone.
creeps.
i turned to stone for a minute and adam hadn't even realized it.

labyrinth or bust! with a lil' "t n' a" X2

whenever new yankees come through barcelona, i end up taking them sightseeing to some of my favorite places here in the city.
when adam and teresa came through, it was straight to the labyrinth!
here are some fish.
well well well...look who doesn't know their way through the maze...
phallic.
lovers.
cheesers.

another halloween pic

stumbled upon this fine gem of gio and i on halloween. i don't know why he didn't dress up, but me and the other gals had fun.

b'days and dinosaurs.

last sunday, the 29th day of november, was my buddy adam's birthday.
so i got him a clint "the squint" eastwood mask.
happy birthday, amigo. glad we could spend it with you here in barca.
adam and his wifey, teresa, about to cut his b'day pie.
...and did i mention that simo is back in town?
here he's backside flippin' off a slant.
and snapping ollies for joy
and he's seeming to fancy the no-comply tailslides as of late.

bulgaria.

a couple of months ago, i went on a little week long filming mission to eastern europe, a little country called bulgaria. the city: sofia.
there is one skate spot in bulgaria. most of the city is run down and very old.
but bulgaria was cheap, had great food, great beers, and the one spot it has is amazing!
here's a water fountain.
here's louie skidding his tail across the nicest bank over stairs.
louie and his cannon
this little rat bastard kept borrowing people's boards and skating them into sand. i had to get all sneaky so i could get a pic of his neck tat that was given to him when he was a wee baby, from what i understood. then he just flashed it at me so i could snap one off.
from then on, he wouldn't leave me alone and kept making these sad faces and saying how starving he was.
well, rat...maybe if you were a little nicer of a gypsy, i would have given you a coin. but since you kept blowing smoke and saliva strands in my face, i give you nothing. he blew some into some old woman's dog's face, as well.
octavio is from the canary islands. he can fakie flip high.
all the little corner stoes are set into the ground. octavio ordering some water.
louie and wiener man. i told louie how steve and i vowed never to eat hotdogs again, but had to give in to temptation on this one. i mean, look at how happy this guy is!
prepping for some festival.

art.
old commie statue. the city encourages skating here, graffiti, and destruction of this thing, to remind the russians that they aren't scared.
louie loves war.

they even had a really good skate park there!

our hostel. i think this was my first, and it was awesome. hostel mostel is it's name, and it's only about ten bucks a night, free spaghetti, and they have tons of 3 liter beers there to keep filling you up.
louie leaving our hostel. note that it's the greenest place in the city, all tucked away in the bowls.
a church. and that thing on the left is a traffic tower that some guy sits in all day pretending he's a photo radar. except when someone speeds through or runs the reds, he puts on his binoculars and jots down their plate number.
lucky fish
cruisin' from spot to spot with my 50 cent liter.

marce got himself an old accordian from street vendors.
there was a car on fire for this weird ceremony, and they sprayed everything except the car.
they thought we were leaving one day, so when we told them we were staying, they'd already booked our room for others. so we were sent to the attic, where some chinese guy ate candy and stared at me through closed eyes at five in the morning, old men were snoring, it smelled like feet, and some nasty english lady kept pulling up all my personal information.
there were an abundance of felines at this place. the one drawback.
airport wall art. bulgaria.
europe on one side.
read that one
